HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD), has called for participation in Earth Hour tomorrow, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 8:30 PM local time. “As part of our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, I urge everyone to take part in Earth Hour which is a global movement seeks to raise awareness of climate change and the importance of protecting our planet”, said His Highness. “Therefore, I encourage everyone to participate by switching off non-essential lights for an hour and promoting a culture of energy conservation within our communities. ACCD will participate in Earth Hour by switching off the lights at its headquarters tomorrow, Saturday, for one hour. This emphasizes the importance of this event and contributes to reducing environmental degradation and climate change that threatens our planet. It also aligns with ACCD’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness and enhance knowledge about the importance of combating climate change, which is a matter of life for everyone, especially children.

Earth Hour is the largest global environmental movement, launched in 2007 through the symbolic act of 'turning off lights' around the world. This initiative aims to raise awareness about environmental issues impacting the planet. Amid the current climate crisis, it has become imperative to intensify efforts to take positive actions toward protecting and saving our earth.
