In Partnership Between ACCD and ENCCC, the Closure of the First Phase of “Together” Initiative to Rehabilitate Children in Safe Areas
The Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) and the Egyptian National Center for Child Culture (ENCCC), affiliated with the Supreme Council of Culture of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, celebrated the closure of the first phase of “The National Initiative (Together) to Rehabilitate Children in Safe Areas”. The Event took place on March 21, 2024, as part of the launch celebration for the Ramadan Welcome Program, sponsored by H.E. Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Egyptian Minister of Culture, at the headquarters of the Children’s Cultural Park in the Sayyida Zeinab neighborhood in Cairo.

This initiative comes within the framework of empowering Egyptian children in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030. The initiative is based on providing scientific, cultural and educational development for children in safe areas, in accordance with the ACCD’s Upbringing Model “Education for Hope”.

In the First phase of this initiative, ACCD has sought to implement its Model “Education for Hope”, using an intensive and integrated program, to target the children of the Al-Khayala area (one of the safe areas), aiming at providing those children with rehabilitation and inclusion in the society. ACCD organized 6 training workshops for the staff of the ENCCC and the Children’s Cultural Park, as well as providing activities for more than 100 children (10 – 13 years old) in the Al-Khayala area.

The “Together Initiative to Rehabilitate Children in Safe Areas” is implemented within the Project of “The Rehabilitation and Inclusion of Children through the Model of Education for Hope”, which is one of the strategic projects implemented by ACCD under the patronage of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President of ACCD, and in partnership with the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND). This initiative is also considered to be a continuation of the successes achieved by this Model in rehabilitating children in difficult circumstances.
