UAE Children Present Golden Balloon Award to HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal in Recognition of His Highness's Continuous Support and Achievements for Children
HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) and the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), has received the Golden Balloon Award from the Children's Advisory Council of the UAE.
During the Award Ceremony, the children announced that their selection of HRH Prince Abdulaziz was by unanimous consensus of the Advisory Council members. They chose His Highness as a symbol of generosity and inspiration, expressing their admiration for his refined and distinguished vision and his continuous support for children everywhere. They also expressed gratitude for his significant achievements and contributions towards children in the Arab world, and his vital role in building a better future for coming generations.
The Golden Balloon Award is presented by the Children's Advisory Council, which is affiliated with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC) in the UAE. It is awarded to institutions and individuals in recognition of their humanitarian role and outstanding efforts in childhood issues, and for their continuous dedication to supporting and encouraging children and motivating them to achieve their ambitions.
This occurred during HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal's participation in the activities of the Fatima bint Mubarak Motherhood and Childhood Forum on Mental Health, which was held in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, coinciding with the celebration of World Mental Health Day. The event was attended by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; Her Highness Princess Sora bint Saud bint Saad, Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the “Ahyaha” Humanitarian Foundation; H.E. Reem bint Abdullah Al-Falasi, Secretary General of the SCMC; and a number of specialists and stakeholders in the field.
