The Empowerment of Arab Children in the
Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution
(Ongoing Project)
The Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) is implementing this Project in partnership with the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) since the year 2019 in 6 Arab countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, Bahrain and Oman.
Project Goal:
This Project aims at raising awareness of the importance of continuing to work on empowering the Arab children in the era of the fourth industrial revolution with its opportunities and risks, in the light of an integrated and interconnected conceptual structure. This is in accordance with a new intellectual pattern that establishes an effective relationship between the child and the fourth industrial revolution, within the framework of global awareness.
Partners:
Project Objectives:
Empowering children, especially refugees, children in street situations and children with disabilities, through benefiting from the results of the above-mentioned field study.
- Completing the implementation of the Third Cycle of the King Abdulaziz Prize for Scientific Researches on “Education in the Post-COVID-19 World.”
- Digital empowerment of our children, especially refugees, children in street situations and children with disabilities
An Arabic Field Study:
Within the framework of this Project, ACCD is working on an exploratory Arab field study on measuring the readiness of Arab children for the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Study results confirmed the limited readiness of children for the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the widening gap between students' current cognitive skills and the requirements for readiness for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond.
ACCD is working to disseminate and implement the Study in Arab countries in partnership with AGFUND and the League of Arab States.
